Bookkeeper

TNR are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join the team in Lismore, NSW.

Established in 1899, TNR is one of the largest and most respected accounting firms in regional NSW and South East QLD. This is the ideal opportunity for a talented Bookkeeper looking to use their skills to support clients in a well-established, professional, and friendly team environment.

Permanent position being offered as either part time (30 hrs) or full time.

The Role

As part of the TNR Bookkeeping team, you will:

  • Assist the TNR Business Services team to deliver services on time, including BAS and IAS preparation
  • Work with TNR clients to assist them with managing the financial functions of their business including bank reconciliations, payroll and superannuation processing
  • Provide training and support to clients in setting up and using accounting software (primarily Xero)
  • Investigate and identify complex issues on client files and develop and implement solutions to resolve these
  • Work independently to manage tight deadlines and competing priorities to ensure our clients receive exceptional service
  • Ensure all files are referenced and available for audit.

Skills & Experience

The successful applicant will be a skilled bookkeeper with:

  • Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or equivalent
  • 3+ years solid bookkeeping experience (minimum)
  • Proficiency in Xero and MS Excel spreadsheets
  • Excellent technical skills and understanding of the accounting process
  • Experience in other cloud-based software (MYOB, QUICKBOOKS, RECKON etc)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with team members and clients
  • A willingness for continual learning and process improvement
