FLOOD GRANTS FOR ELIGIBLE BUSINESSES

Grants of up to $15,000 will be available to eligible small businesses, primary producers and non-profit organisations in:

Lismore:
•    Lismore CBD
•    Parts of East Lismore
•    Girards Hill
•    South Lismore
•    North Lismore

Tweed:
•    South Murwillumbah
•    Murwillumbah
•    Bray Park
•    Condong

There are also other Disaster Payments you or people you know may be eligible for as per below:

1.    The Disaster Recovery Payment

This is a one-off payment to assist if you have been significantly affected by a disaster. It is not for minor damage or inconvenience.

If you are eligible you will receive:
•    $1,000 per adult
•    $400 for each child under 16 years of age

2.    The Disaster Recovery Allowance

This Allowance is a short term payment to assist individuals who can demonstrate their income has been affected as a direct result of a declared disaster.

It is payable for a maximum of 13 weeks from the date at which you have, or will have, a loss of income as a direct result of Tropical Cyclone Debbie – March 2017.

The Disaster Recovery Allowance is a taxable payment.
