TNR’s Royal Winner – Sydney Royal Showgirl 2015 Ellie Stephens
Thomas Noble & Russell (TNR) is very proud to announce that one of our Business Services employees, Ellie Stephens, has been sashed the 2015 The Land Sydney Royal Showgirl. Ellie represented the North Coast National Lismore show society in a week long competition at Sydney Royal Show against 14 other finalists from across the state.
The showgirl competition aims to find a young female rural ambassador for rural New South Wales and the agricultural show movement. The competition encourages the participation and awareness of issues faced by women in rural New South Wales. Ellie’s role now involves many official and informal duties in the national show movement and at various agricultural events.
Ellie states that she sees rural shows as having two important roles in our agricultural communities. The first is the recognition of agricultural excellence and the chasing of opportunities to develop Australian agriculture, and the second role is the vale of the education opportunities that stem from agricultural shows.
Ellie’s role with Thomas Noble & Russell Chartered Accountants ensures she is in touch with rural families and agricultural businesses throughout the state. Ellie’s passion for agriculture, and the sustainability and development of various agricultural businesses stems from her upbringing on the family farm in the central west of NSW. This passion is carried out through her work at Thomas Noble and Russell.
